INTRODUCTION OF GHANA Ghana is located on the West coast of Africa and is surrounded by the countries Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo.  Accra is the capital city of Ghana. Ghana's official language is English. In addition to this language there are also many indigenous languages, of which the Akan languages Fante, Akuapem Twi and Asante Twi are the most common.  Ghana is a democratic republic. The president and vice president are elected for a 4-year term.  Ghana is split into ten administrative regions.
